For CyD and its directors it is essential to be close to collaborators and clients working on various projects throughout Chile.

In this context, on March 22, CyD visited the technical inspection project of Phase 6 of the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) of the European Southern Observatory (ESO).

In this activity, Enrique Cruz Ugarte (President), Hugo Ortiz Sembler (Executive Vice President) and Rodrigo Cruz (Director), together with Rodrigo Arellano (Mining Manager), Claudio Aguirre Morales (Project Manager) and Marcos García (Northern Zone Manager) toured the site and shared with collaborators and members of the client’s team.

It should be noted that this will be the largest and most powerful optical and infrared telescope in the world, which will allow astronomers to observe and study celestial bodies with unprecedented precision. Moreover, the ELT project is of great relevance from the point of view of technical innovation, as it is driven by new technologies in adaptive optics, faint light detection and massive data analysis.
